  • Absolutely, our Executive Team comes together on virtual meetings from across Canada!

    We hope to create a team with representation from coast to coast!

  • School and work always comes first.

    We ask our volunteers to commit only 5-10 hours of work each month (1-2 hours per week), and this is flexible with the ebbs and flows of life, putting in more or less time depending on your schedule. We appreciate that public health professionals have a lot on your plate, and you can be responsible for your portfolio in your own time.

  • We’re flexible when it comes to skills—what matters most is your passion for public health and your willingness to contribute to our community. We welcome a variety of skills, whether gained through school, work, or previous volunteer experiences. Whether you're a communicator, organizer, creative thinker, or someone looking to learn, there's a place for you at The Canadian Public Health Hub.

  • Training will be fully supported by our team to ensure you’re comfortable and confident in your role. We cultivate a space where we all learn from one another—mentors and volunteers alike. Whether you're developing your skills for the first time or bringing in a wealth of experience, we value collaboration and believe that every volunteer has something valuable to contribute and learn.

    • Operations:

      • Director of Operations: Leads the planning, logistics, and smooth functioning of our programs.

      • Operations Team Members: Assist with coordinating program activities, ensuring everything runs efficiently behind the scenes.

    • Communications:

      • Communications Director: Oversees all messaging, helps develop strategy, and ensures consistent, engaging communications.

      • Communications Team Members: Create content, craft messages, and assist in delivering information to our community.

    • Outreach + Partnerships:

      • Director of Outreach and Partnerships: Builds relationships with partner organizations and expands our impact across Canada.

      • Partnerships Team Members: Assist with outreach, maintain communication with existing partners, and help grow our network.

    • Resource Development:

      • Resource Development Director: Leads the creation of educational resources, ensuring they're high-quality and accessible to all members.

      • Resource Development Team Members: Contribute to the development of workshops, guides, and toolkits that serve our public health community.

    • Social Media Ambassadors:

      • Social Media Ambassadors: Publish content about The Canadian Public Health Hub on their personal social media channels to help spread the word. This role has a smaller time commitment, making it ideal for those with busy schedules but who still want to support our mission.

    Each of these portfolios includes a director to lead the strategy and team members to execute and contribute. Together, these roles ensure our programs are impactful, our message is heard, and our community grows.
